Lori and Jack Hyslip, a mother-and-son real estate team, own the building at 4600 W. Park Blvd. It was previously home to a 24 Hour Fitness, but after the tenant left, they decided to completely renovate the space and open their own gym, Plano Athletic Club. To ensure they could provide the best service possible, the Hyslips brought in fitness professionals to work as consultants during the opening process and as managers once the gym is open.

The Hyslips hope to make Plano Athletic Club a place that not only offers a high-quality gym experience, but also a place that cultivates community.
“This community is what is important to us. We want to provide benefits to them and have a back-and-forth relationship where everyone wins,” shared Jack.
